Titus Alexander is an experienced facilitator, trainer and course creator, who has developed and run courses, workshops and learning programmes for personal and social change. He enjoys working with agencies and learning providers to develop effective learning for a specific purpose or context. His training programmes and materials have been used by many facilitators and thousands of learners.

Titus works with people to create a more just and sustainable world through the Novas Scarman Group.

4.     Development Education Association (DEA): Promoting global perspectives in adult education, including teaching a training of trainers course at the, a survey of global perspectives in adult education; production of guidelines on global perspectives; and evaluation of projects;

8.     Citizenship Education Advisory Group: adviser on the DfES / NFER longitudinal study of the introduction of the citizenship curriculum in schools (ongoing);

9.     Campaign for Learning/Gulbenkian Foundation: Citizenship Schools – a book and training programme for LEAs on using the citizenship curriculum to strengthen participation schools;

Family learning and parenting

10.     Family & Parenting Institute developed Parent Information Point toolkit (2004), feasibility study (2005), workshop materials and trainer of trainers programme, now being rolled out to all school by the DfES.

11.     Local Education Authorities training and consultancy (Enfield, Cambridgeshire, Devon, Barking, Barnet, Bexley, Birmingham, Hackney, Kensington & Chelsea; Lewisham, Sheffield, South Essex, Sunderland, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, among others, including Scotland and Wales)

12.     Pre-School Learning Alliance: I wrote a successful bid for a £2.8m Millennium Award scheme and brought together an interagency group to see it through, and then trained staff and Award winners

14.     NIACE: Adviser on family learning, citizenship and membership development; Expert assessor for Adult and Community Learning Fund proposals; research report on relationships with members; Guide to Good Practice in Family Learning; produced Adult Learners’ Week press pack  for two years

15.     Cambridge Education Associates (CEA): Training for teachers in work with parents and on self-esteem. I also did consultancy work through them for a London Borough on extending education, supplementary education and homework clubs.
